A two-car wreck at Hickory Hill Road and East Raines Road left one survivor in critical condition and hurt two Memphis officers.

Investigators said the missing-child report unraveled after questions about the story, family contacts and the lack of any photo or sightings.

Police said the children were recovered in a cornfield near Norwalk after a multi-agency search crossed state lines.
