New Media Lit is an independent daily news outlet covering the stories that matter to American communities — crime and public safety, traffic and road incidents, severe weather, and the unsolved cases people are still asking about.

Our focus is local reporting across Ohio, Missouri and Tennessee, delivered fast, clearly and reliably in plain language anyone can use.

What we cover

• Police Blotter — arrests, investigations and public-safety news
• Traffic and Crashes — wrecks, road closures and highway incidents
• Storms and Fires — severe weather, warnings and wildfires
• Unsolved Cases — missing persons and open investigations

Our standards

We report accurately and independently, and we correct mistakes openly. See our Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy.
